Lila is a passionate traveler and adventurer. In May 2022, she participated in a month long study abroad program in Florence, Italy where she took courses on art and psychology. On the weekends she would travel through the country, exploring seaside towns and fashionable metros. Upon conclusion of the program she continued her travels for another six weeks stopping in Spain, Portugal, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, and the UK.
After a few years back in New York she decided it was time for an even grander adventure, packing up whatever she could fit in a backpack and heading to Asia for five months. She made stops in Japan, Taiwan, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand, on the way volunteering at a farm and a Buddhist Monastery, painting murals on the walls of hostels, and receiving her Open Water Scuba Certification.
During these intense experiences of extended solo travel, Lila discovered that the only constant she has is her ability to create. Her journal became her best friend, her pen and mini watercolor set a means to remember the cultures she passed through, the chaos of the cities, ancient temples, rolling mountains, deep valleys, crystal clear waters, and the people she met along her journey- it would all soon blend together if not for her meticulously detailed notes, observations, and sketches.
